I voted for:

Royals and Loyals - Great one-liners and I kinda liked the British guy ;D
Enemies Domestic - I liked both this and Enemies Foreign, but this one was better and I appreciated the glimpse into Vance's past.
Defiance - Do I need to explain
Kill Scree - See Above

I'm tentatively voting for A Man Walks Into a Bar... (Kate! Kate! Kate!). Enemies Foreign (that was the one with the younger Vance, right?), and Baltimore (young, fun Tony, and young(er) Gibbs).

Although those may change, and I need a fourth. One with Tim...

My choices in not particular order:

- "Enemies Domestic": This episode had something for everybody. Intrigue, action, funny lines, great McNicknames, sadness, everything.
- "Baltimore": It was amazingly well written, well directed and well acted. Perfect.
- "A Man Walks into a Bar": I love this kind of episodes.
- "Kill Screen: McGee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Almost there: "Defiance" and "Broken Arrow".

I chose:

Spider and the Fly -- I love the tension and the Gibbs arc. The ambiguity of the cause of Paloma's death (whether it was set up or not) still clings to me today

Enemies Domestic -- I wanted to choose Enemies Foreign too, but I feel like this speaks greater volume about Ziva's deteriorating relationship with her father. I didn't like the fight between her and Liat, though. :P But I still get to meet Liat, who's probably one of my favorite minor characters now. ;D

A Man Walks Into A Bar... -- Everyone had the chance to look back to their pasts and take a glimpse to what they want in the future. It was nice remembering Kate, and it was nicer to get some Tate scenes! ;D

Swan Song -- Two words: Mike Franks. This shot-to-the-heart episode was wonderful, especially how they set up the flashbacks, and those crack!fic like moments we spent in Gibbs' mind. ;D 'Twas amusing. ;D And hey, there's that touching group hug! :smitten:

To be honest, with the exclusion of two other episodes besides what I mentioned, I thought this season was pretty uninteresting. I'm sorry. It's just that yes, they were good, there were thrilling moments, but they weren't as good as the others. :P I feel like themes were in clumps and not well spread. :P

It was a nice season, but it's not as appealing to me as the past ones.

I've narrowed my favorites to 7. Can't figure out which 3 to cut.

In order of appearance:
The Spider and the Fly
Royals and Loyals
Cracked
Man Walks Into a Bar
Kill Screen
Baltimore
Swan Song

I didn't think there were too many knock-out episodes this season, but overall, I liked it soooooo much more than season 7. No bad taste in my mouth at the end (and besides, looks like EJ is gone! ;D ).

Enemies Domestic: I actually rather liked both parts so this is kind of standing in for both. ;D

Kill Screen: It's a Tim episode. What can I say? ...and I liked the gamer girl. I wish she would be Tim's offscreen girlfriend.

One Last Score: This one inspired me to write a tag because I really liked how Tim played his part in it. It was a pretty good case...and I like the guest star. ;D

Baltimore: Yes, you can be shocked that I enjoyed a Tony episode, but it was well-written and fun.

In order of appearance:
Kill Screen - Yeah, predictable Tim fan, but I also love Beth Riesgraf.
One Last Score - I loved Tim and Tony's back-and-forth in this one, getting into the perps' heads.
Baltimore - This was just truckloads of awesome for me, especially the detail given to some of the more obscure canon trivia. I'm the annoying fan who notices when you change people's age, address, phobias, allergies, or when their mother died, so it was nice to actually see some finesse in that area.
Swan Song - Yeah, the elevator scene was un-Ziva, but I loved Mike's editorial comments as the story unfolded. Definitely going to miss Jesse Stern.

One Last Score - Great acting, great directing (MW did an awesome job) and I really liked the plot line

Out of the Frying Pan - The Tony and Gibbs interrogation scenes totally made up crazy!Vance

Baltimore - Love the shout-outs to the die -hard fans (Mighty Mouse stapler, Pacci) and Rule 5 :)

A Man Walks Into a Bar/ Recruited - I couldn't decide between those two episodes, they were both really great.

For me it has to be "Spider and the Fly," because of Gibbs and Mike, "Short Fuse" for the innuedos between Tobias and Gibbs, love that Pinny, Fornell, "Baltimore" for seeing a young Tony and Gibbs getting cuffed, and finally Pyramid, for Mike and Gibbs and the sadness, the end of an era.
